Introducing the Nunavut Mining Symposium Students in STEM, Business and Economic Development Scholarship.
PREFACE
The Nunavut Mining Symposium (NMS) was created to conduct the affairs of a mining convention in Nunavut to promote the responsible development of the mineral, oil and gas sectors of Nunavut’s economy while being sensitive to the environment and its people.
Amongst our values are to promote employment opportunities available to Nunavummiut in the mining sector, especially in the technical and professional designation positions. This scholarship program is aimed to attract more students into these areas and give Nunavummiut the opportunity to pursue studies in the STEM, Business or Economic Development fields of study.
